Regular office hours (Mainly for Supervision)

I currently have 15-, 30- and 45-minute supervision slots for students on Thursdays. Booking takes place via a Google Sheet; if I supervise you, you will have received the link directly.

Ad hoc office hours (For Anyone)

If you are a DTU student or otherwise would like to talk to me about your studies, including admission or study planning for the Human-Computer Artificial Intelligence MSc you can email me to set up a meeting. Beware that I receive a large number of emails and it may take time for me to respond to you. Feel free to re-send if you don’t get a reply within a week.

In general, I practice an open-door policy. It works like this:

  • The door to my office is open: You can make yourself known and ask if I have time; I often take time for impromptu meetings either “on the spot” or later during the same day if possible.
  • The door to my office is closed, and you see me alone in my office: I may be in a telco or need to focus on some work to be done. Try to knock the door.
    • If I am working, I may give you a time to come back later during the week (or day).
    • I may also wave at you and point on my screen or look like I’m talking; that means I’m in a telco and cannot talk. Then come back later.
  • I am talking to others (whom you should be able to see through the glass door): Feel free to wait until I’m done or have a break and can talk to you and either give you a short answer or agree when you can come back.

Reaching me by email or phone

I unfortunately receive a large amount of emails every day and am often not able to respond as fast as you may need/want.

Thus, in order to make sure your email is not too easily lost between less important ones, kindly:

  1. Use this link to send email to me regarding H-CAI (and keep the “H-CAI: " first in the subject line, but add your topic after that). If about something else, feel free to edit the subject line accordingly.

  2. Send the email from your student account when you can.

If I don’t respond, try to resend your mail.

You are also welcome to call my phone/mobile, but as I’m often in meetings, I may not be able to take your call. In that case, you could try to send me an SMS if urgent.
